Antique Hunt Leather Bicycle Saddle - This antique bicycle saddle was manufactured by Hunt, as indicated by the cursive brand name embossed on both lateral sides of the leather body. The saddle is constructed of dark brown leather with heavy-gauge tonal perimeter stitching and features a multi-layered construction on the underside. The design includes a distinctive central longitudinal cutout at the rear and three circular ventilation holes along the center line, features characteristic of early ergonomic or hygienic saddles from the late 19th century. The front of the saddle is fitted with a metal-reinforced nose bracket. This item consists of the leather top and nose bracket only; the original structural wire frame and mounting rails are absent. The leather exhibits heavy surface cracking, scuffing, and localized finish loss across the top and sides. Fraying is present on some sections of the stitching.
