Antique Persons-Majestic Manufacturing Company Split-Top Leather Bicycle Saddle - This antique bicycle saddle was produced in the United States by the Persons-Majestic Manufacturing Company of Worcester, Massachusetts, during the late 19th to early 20th century. The saddle features a split-top design constructed from a heavy leather cover stretched over a steel undercarriage. The rear of the seat is reinforced with a curved wooden support block. The internal frame includes a tension-spring system and an integrated seat-post clamp. The side of the leather cover is embossed with the manufacturer mark PERSONS. Length: 11 inches Width: 8.75 inches. The saddle is in fair condition with significant signs of age. The leather top is heavily desiccated and exhibits extensive surface crazing, cracking, and localized areas of loss. All metal components show heavy surface oxidation and rust. The wooden reinforcement block is intact but shows age-related wear and surface deterioration.
