Two Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Items Including a Rice Grain Bowl and a Lidded Box - This lot consists of two Chinese blue and white porcelain pieces dating to the 20th century. The first item is a circular bowl with a flared rim and short straight foot, decorated using the linglong or rice grain technique where translucent perforations are filled with clear glaze. The interior features a central chrysanthemum floral medallion within a double ring, and the inner and outer rims are adorned with geometric and stylized S-scroll borders. The base of the bowl bears a blue underglaze Wanyu (Jade Play) mark alongside a red stamped CHINA mark, indicating its production for the export market. A small paper label with the handwritten name HONEYMAN is adhered to the interior. The second item is a small, compressed globular lidded container. The exterior is decorated with an underglaze blue phoenix and peony motif, showing two phoenixes (fenghuang) flying among scrolling floral vines. The base of the box is unmarked. Bowl: 4.5 inches diameter, 2 inches height Lidded box: 2.5 inches diameter, 2 inches height. The bowl is in overall good condition with minor firing imperfections typical of the manufacturing process. The lidded box shows significant damage to the lid, which has multiple cracks that have been previously repaired with visible yellowed adhesive residue, and at least one small chip is present along the lid rim.
