The bells are cast from a copper alloy and feature a spherical form with a traditional longitudinal slit and a decorative lobed or petal pattern. They are secured to the dark brown leather strap via metal shanks. Several bells exhibit incised markings on the surface, including the letters N and o, and numerals such as 1 or 2, which indicate the graduated sizes of the bells. The strap terminates in a simple metal buckle with a dark, oxidized patina. Length: 45 inches. The leather strap shows significant age-related wear, including dryness, stiffness, and heavy cracking throughout.
