Japanese Yosegi Zaiku Parquetry Tabletop Tansu Cabinet - A Japanese Yosegi Zaiku parquetry tabletop cabinet. The wooden chest features six drawers of varying dimensions, each fronted with intricate geometric wood-inlay patterns. The top and side surfaces are decorated with larger parquetry panels in contrasting wood tones. The piece is fitted with brass corner protectors and small brass knob pulls. The interior of the drawers shows natural wood grain. No maker's marks are visible on the exterior or interior. Width: 14.5 inches Height: 12 inches. The item shows signs of age and use including surface wear, scratches, and water staining on the top and back panels. There are minor losses to the veneer along the edges and sides. One brass pull is missing from the upper left drawer.
