WWII Theater-Made Aluminum Knuckle-Guard Combat Knife with USN Mark 2 Scabbard - This is a WWII theater-made combat knife featuring a custom cast aluminum knuckle-guard hilt. The handle incorporates four finger loops and terminates in a spherical pommel. The steel blade is single-edged with a clip-point tip and a longitudinal fuller. The blade surface exhibits a weathered reddish-brown finish, characteristic of a copper wash or plating, with visible oxidation throughout. The knife is housed in a standard-issue United States Navy Mark 2 scabbard made of grey composition material with a metal throat and a khaki canvas belt hanger. The throat of the scabbard is stamped with the designation U.S.N. MK 2. Overall Length: 12.5 inches Blade Length: 7 inches. Fair, used condition. The blade shows significant oxidation, pitting, and loss of finish. The aluminum handle displays surface scratches and minor casting pits. The scabbard tip is repaired with black electrical tape. The khaki canvas belt hanger is heavily frayed and shows substantial wear and material loss.
