Alfonsas Dargis, Abstract Composition, 1952, Etching and Aquatint - This mid-century modern abstract intaglio print is by the Lithuanian-American artist Alfonsas Dargis (1909–1996). Dated 1952, the work is a combination of etching and aquatint, featuring a centralized arrangement of geometric and organic shapes punctuated by symbolic motifs such as stars and ladder-like patterns.
