Arts and Crafts Style Hammered Copper Souvenir Ashtray, Mackinac Island Michigan - This is a triangular-form souvenir ashtray constructed from hammered copper. The piece reflects the Arts and Crafts style with its hand-hammered texture and three integrated cigarette rests at the corners. A central shield-shaped copper plaque is secured to the well with two rivets. This plaque features a die-stamped relief depicting Arch Rock on Mackinac Island, Michigan, with a sailboat visible through the natural limestone arch. The plaque includes the raised-letter inscriptions ARCH ROCK at the top and MACKINAC ISLAND, MICH. along the bottom edge. While the craftsmanship is similar to items produced during the Roycroft era, there are no maker marks visible on the item. Width: approximately 4.5 inches. The ashtray is in good vintage condition. It retains an aged, darkened patina throughout. There are small areas of green verdigris present on the underside. No significant structural damage, dents, or repairs are noted.
