A Collection of US Danbury Mint Gold-Plated Kennedy Half Dollars - This collection of US Kennedy half dollars includes examples dated 1969-D, 1988-P, 2006-D, 2008-D, 2009-D, and 2010-D. These coins feature an aftermarket gold-toned plating applied for collectible sets marketed by the Danbury Mint. The 1969-D coin is composed of 40 percent silver, while the remaining dates are copper-nickel clad. The obverse of each coin features the left-facing portrait of John F. Kennedy, and the reverse displays the Presidential Seal. The coins are accompanied by their original Danbury Mint promotional informational cards. Weight: 46.52 dwt. The coins are in uncirculated condition with brilliant, mirrored surfaces. Minor surface scratches, light handling marks, and adhesive residue from the original packaging are visible on some specimens.
