Junior Order of United American Mechanics Jr. O.U.A.M. Sayre Council No. 210 Fraternal Member Badge - A three-part fraternal organization member badge associated with the Junior Order of United American Mechanics (Jr. O.U.A.M.). The badge features a stamped copper-toned top bar with scrollwork borders and the embossed initials JR.O.U.A.M. A secondary copper-toned plate is suspended by two lengths of chain and is inscribed SAYRE NO. 210 COUNCIL. The badge includes a vertical textile ribbon with an American flag motif consisting of red and white stripes and a blue canton with white stars. The lowest component is a silver-toned, shield-shaped pendant with an openwork design. The central motif depicts a square and compasses surrounding a flexed arm holding a mallet. The square and compasses are detailed with scrolled engravings. The reverse side of the top bar has a horizontal pin with a C-clasp closure. Length: Approximately 3.5 inches. The badge is in good antique condition. The metal components show surface patina and minor oxidation. The silver-toned finish on the shield shows light wear. The ribbon remains intact but shows minor fraying along the edges and light fading to the colors. The pin and clasp are functional.
