Canada 1961 1 Cent Bronze Coin Off-Center Strike Error - A 1961 Canadian one-cent bronze coin featuring a significant production error. The coin was struck approximately 25 to 30 percent off-center, resulting in a large blank crescent on the bronze planchet. The obverse depicts the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with partial legends ELIZABETH II and REGINA visible. The reverse features the maple leaf design with inscriptions for the date, denomination, and issuer. The coin has a plain edge. It is contained in a vintage 2x2 cardboard flip with handwritten ink notations identifying the specimen. Uncirculated. The surfaces retain significant original red-orange luster with light scattered marks and areas of natural toning. The accompanying cardboard flip shows heavy signs of age, including yellowing and tape reinforcement.
