Vintage Italian Micro Mosaic Heart Floral Brooch - This heart-shaped brooch is crafted in the style of Italian micro mosaic jewelry. The central floral motif is composed of hand-set glass tesserae featuring white star-shaped blossoms, a red and white daisy-type flower at the base, and smaller orange and yellow flowers at the top. These elements are accented by green leaf tiles and framed by an outer border of elongated turquoise-blue glass tiles. The glass tiles are set within a gold-tone base metal frame characterized by a twisted rope-style border. The reverse of the brooch features an incised rectangular mark that is not clearly legible. Height: 0.75 inches Width: 0.75 inches. The micro mosaic inlay is largely intact with minor gaps between tiles and expected surface wear. The gold-tone metal on the reverse shows significant oxidation and a dark patina. The pin stem is missing from the barrel hinge and catch assembly.
