Bidspirit auction | Mid-Century Sterling Silver Lily Bouquet

Mid-Century Sterling Silver Lily Bouquet Brooch - This vintage sterling silver brooch features a stylized floral bouquet motif, a design frequently attributed to S. Agudo. The motif consists of five flower heads, resembling lilies or tulip buds, positioned at the ends of slender, radiating stems. The arrangement is framed by two broad, curved leaves on either side. The stems are gathered at a central, convex circular boss, with three distinct stem terminals extending below the central point. The reverse of the central boss is stamped with a circular mark containing a stylized monogram, interpreted as the letters S and K, above the word STERLING in sans-serif block letters. The piece is equipped with a horizontal pin stem and a rollover safety clasp. Length: 3.25 inches Width: 2.25 inches Weight: 0.571 ozt. The brooch is in good vintage condition. It exhibits heavy overall tarnish and surface oxidation throughout, consistent with the natural aging of sterling silver. There are minor surface scratches and expected wear from use. The pin stem shows surface oxidation and a slight bow, while the rollover safety clasp remains functional.
