US 1999-P Georgia Statehood Quarter Dollar Mint Error Broadstruck - This 1999-P United States Quarter Dollar is a Georgia statehood issue struck in a copper-nickel clad composition. The obverse features the Washington Quarter design with the P mint mark for Philadelphia. The reverse depicts the Georgia state design with a central peach and the state motto. The coin exhibits a significant mint error identified as a broadstrike, occurring when the coin is struck without the retaining collar in place. This has resulted in an expanded diameter, a flattened and distorted rim, and irregular metal extrusion at the edge, particularly visible on the upper-left of the obverse. The specimen is raw and has not been submitted to a third-party grading service. Very Fine. The coin shows evidence of light circulation wear with scattered surface scratches and contact marks. Light yellowish toning is present across the obverse and reverse. The edge shows characteristic irregularities associated with a broadstruck mint error.
