1962 CA 1 Cent, Off-Center Strike Error - A 1962 Canadian 1 cent coin composed of bronze. The obverse features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse displays the maple leaf design with the date 1962, denomination 1 CENT, and country CANADA. This specimen exhibits a minor off-center strike error, resulting in an uneven rim width. The coin is housed in a standard 2x2 cardboard and plastic flip. The front of the holder features handwritten blue ink notations 1962 - 1 cent - CANADA and OFF-CENTER. The reverse of the holder has pencil notations reading PETER DEGRAAF and $30. Uncirculated. The coin retains much of its original reddish luster. Dark brown toning and environmental spotting are present on both the obverse and reverse surfaces. The strike error is minor, with all design elements remaining within the physical boundaries of the planchet.
