CA 1943 Tombac 5-Cent Coin - This 1943 Canadian 5-cent coin is struck in Tombac, a copper-zinc brass alloy used during World War II to conserve nickel. The coin features a distinctive dodecagonal or 12-sided shape. The obverse displays the George VI obverse by T.H. Paget, surrounded by the Latin legend GEORGIVS VI D:G:REX ET IND:IMP:. The reverse features the Victory design by Stephen Trenka, depicting a central V and flaming torch.
