1943 CA 1 Cent George VI Clipped Planchet Mint Error Coin - 1943 Canadian bronze one cent coin. The obverse features the portrait of King George VI facing left with the inscription GEORGIVS VI D: G: REX ET IND: IMP:. The reverse depicts two maple leaves on a single twig, inscribed 1 CENT, 1943, and CANADA. The designer initials KG are visible to the right of the maple leaves. This specimen exhibits a straight clipped planchet mint error, resulting in a flat edge section on the rim. This error occurs during the blanking process when a planchet is punched from the edge of the metal strip. Diameter: 19.05 mm Weight: 3.24 grams. Circulated condition. Grade estimated as Fine to Very Fine with moderate wear consistent with age, specifically on the high points of the portrait and leaf veins. Surface displays uniform brown toning. The clipped planchet is a minting error and not post-mint damage.
