1960 CAN 1 Cent Off-Center Strike Mint Error - A 1960 CAN 1 cent coin featuring a major off-center strike mint error. Struck in a copper alloy, the obverse bears the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse features the maple leaf design with inscriptions reading 1 CENT, 1960, and CANADA. The strike is significantly shifted toward the 3 o'clock position on the obverse, leaving a portion of the copper planchet unstruck. The coin is housed in a vintage cardboard 2x2 flip with handwritten notations including OFF CENTER, 1960 - 1 cent - CANADA, and a historical purchase price. Uncirculated. The coin retains its original mint luster with a reddish-brown color. Light surface spotting and environmental toning are present on both the obverse and reverse. The struck portions of the design remain sharp.
