1963 Canada 10 Cents Silver Coin with Off-Center Strike Error - This 1963 Canadian 10-cent coin is composed of 80% silver. The obverse features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse depicts the schooner Bluenose with the legends CANADA, 10 CENTS, and the date 1963. This specimen exhibits an off-center strike error, a minting variety where the dies were misaligned with the planchet, resulting in an uneven rim and a crescent-shaped area of unstruck planchet on one edge. The coin has a reeded edge. It is presented in a yellow cardboard collector's flip with handwritten provenance from Peter DeGraaf of Ottawa, Canada. The coin is in uncirculated condition, retaining much of its original mint luster. Light peripheral toning and minor surface marks are present. The off-center strike error is clearly visible on both the obverse and reverse.
