Bank of Canada 1954 Devil Face Five Dollar Banknote Beattie-Coyne Signatures - This Bank of Canada five dollar banknote is part of the 1954 series. The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the right side, showcasing the original engraving detail in the hair commonly referred to by collectors as the Devil's Face variety. The central portion displays the denomination 5 and the text FIVE DOLLARS / CINQ DOLLARS. It bears the red serial number G/C 7025960 and the printed signatures of Deputy Governor J.R. Beattie and Governor J.E. Coyne. The reverse features a blue landscape vignette depicting a river with a waterfall surrounded by evergreen trees, titled BANK OF CANADA - BANQUE DU CANADA.
