CA 1953 Silver 10 Cents Coin - Canada 10 cents coin dated 1953. Struck in .800 fine silver. The obverse features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, surrounded by the Latin inscription ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse depicts the racing schooner Bluenose under sail, with the inscriptions CANADA at the top, the date 1953 to the right, and 10 CENTS at the bottom. The coin features a reeded edge. KM# 51. Fine condition with significant damage. The coin displays moderate circulation wear consistent with a circulated grade. A deep horizontal gouge is visible on the reverse across the ship's hull and the date area. Multiple surface scratches and contact marks are present on both sides. The coin is currently housed in a standard, stapled 2x2 cardboard and plastic flip showing some age-related toning and staining.
