1961 CA One Cent, Clipped Planchet Error - A 1961 Canadian one-cent coin struck in copper featuring a significant clipped planchet error. The obverse displays the Elizabeth II laureate head design. The reverse features the Maple Leaf design type, including the date 1961, denomination, and the designer's initials KG. The mint error is a single curved clip located at approximately the 6 o'clock position on the obverse. About uncirculated. The coin exhibits brown toning with some remaining original red luster in protected areas. Very light circulation wear is visible on the high points of the design. The clipped edge shows characteristic metal flow and a lack of upset rim, consistent with a genuine mint error.
