A Group of US Liberty Head V Nickels - A group of US Liberty Head 5-cent coins, commonly referred to as V nickels. The group features specimens dated from 1900 to 1912, primarily focusing on the 1911 and 1912 dates. Each coin is struck in a copper-nickel composition (KM# 112) with a plain edge. All specimens are presented in individual cardboard and plastic 2x2 stapled coin holders. Many of these holders feature handwritten notations indicating dates, informal grades, and historical price points. These coins were produced by the United States Mint in Philadelphia, as no mint marks are observed on the visible reverse specimens. The collection shows varying degrees of circulation wear consistent with the handwritten grades of About Good (AG), Good (G), and Very Good (VG). Observable characteristics include flattened high points on Liberty's hair and the reverse wreath elements. Minor surface contact marks and typical circulation toning are present across the group. None of the coins have been professionally certified by a third-party grading service.
