A Pair of US Walking Liberty Silver Half Dollars, 1917 and 1945 - This lot consists of a pair of US Walking Liberty half dollars, featuring examples dated 1917 and 1945. Struck in 90% silver with reeded edges, neither coin displays a visible mint mark, identifying them as Philadelphia Mint issues. Both coins utilize the Walking Liberty design type by Adolph A. Weinman. Weight: 0.785 ozt. Both coins are in circulated condition. The 1917 specimen is heavily worn with significant smoothing of the details and high points. The 1945 specimen shows moderate wear but retains better overall detail; it exhibits small green spots on the obverse surface. Both coins show a silver-gray color with light toning and various small contact marks consistent with age and use.
