This coin is distinguished by a silvery, metallic surface color rather than the standard copper composition typical for this year. The coin is presented in a vintage 2x2 staple-bound cardboard and mylar flip with blue ink handwriting that labels the piece as an OFF COLOR CENT. The coin surfaces exhibit light mottling, minor contact marks, and toning consistent with long-term storage in a non-airtight holder.
