Canada 1888 One Cent Bronze Coin with Planchet Lamination Error - Canada 1888 bronze one cent coin. The obverse features the laureated portrait of Queen Victoria with the legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA REGINA and CANADA. The reverse displays the denomination ONE CENT and date 1888 within a maple leaf wreath. A prominent horizontal planchet lamination error is present on the reverse, running through the date. The coin is presented in a vintage 2x2 cardboard and plastic flip with various handwritten notations including DERR. and a stock number. Fine to very fine. The coin exhibits wear to the high points of the portrait and wreath details. The surfaces show dark, uneven toning and minor surface debris. A significant lamination error is visible on the reverse as a missing layer of metal.
