1962 Canada 5 Cents Nickel Coin, KM# 57, Struck Slightly Off-Center - A 1962 Canadian five-cent coin struck in nickel. The obverse features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse displays the beaver design on a log in water, flanked by maple leaves, with the inscriptions 5 CENTS, CANADA, and 1962. The designer's initials K.G for George Edward Kruger Gray are present to the left of the beaver. This specimen exhibits a minor minting error, being struck slightly off-center, which is visible in the uneven rim thickness on both sides. The coin is housed in a vintage 2x2 cardboard flip holder with hand-written annotations. Diameter: 21.2 mm. Near uncirculated with significant original mint luster. Several small spots of dark surface oxidation are present on both the obverse and reverse. The cardboard holder shows age-related yellowing and wear.
