1956 Canada 80 Percent Silver 10 Cents Off-Center Strike Error - This Canadian 10-cent denomination coin was struck in 1956 at the Royal Canadian Mint. It is composed of 80 percent silver and 20 percent copper. The obverse features the Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina laureate portrait type. The reverse displays the Bluenose schooner design type. This specimen exhibits a minor off-center strike error, noted on the holder as 1/16 off-center, resulting in a misaligned design and uneven rim thickness. The coin is presented in a vintage cardboard collector flip with handwritten notations in blue and black ink identifying the error, the date, and the issuer. Circulated with silver-grey surfaces and moderate contact marks consistent with age. Dark toning is visible along the peripheral rims on both sides. The strike error has caused the design to be shifted toward the upper-left on the obverse and lower-right on the reverse.
