A Pair of US One Dollar Banknotes Series 1935 A Silver Certificate and Series 1963 B Federal Reserve Note - This pair of United States small-size paper currency includes a Series 1935 A one-dollar Silver Certificate and a Series 1963 B one-dollar Federal Reserve Note. The Silver Certificate features blue serial numbers and a blue Treasury seal, bearing serial number Q 04236063 A. It carries the transcribed signatures of Treasurer W. A. Julian and Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau Jr. The reverse displays the Great Seal of the United States in the No Motto design, which precedes the 1957 addition of the phrase In God We Trust. The Federal Reserve Note is a Richmond district issue, designated by the letter E and the number 5, with green serial numbers and a green Treasury seal, bearing serial number E 35946617 F. This note features the signature of Joseph W. Barr as Secretary of the Treasury, a variety known to collectors as a Barr Note due to his brief 28-day tenure in the position. Both notes feature the portrait of George Washington on the obverse and were printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Approximate dimensions per note: 6.14 x 2.61 inches.
