US 1987 Lincoln Memorial Cent Off-Center Strike Error - This US 1987 Lincoln Memorial cent is a mint error featuring an off-center strike. The coin was produced at the Philadelphia Mint and is composed of copper-plated zinc. The strike is misaligned toward the 11 o'clock position on the obverse, resulting in a crescent of unstruck planchet along the lower right border and the loss of the top portion of the upper motto. The reverse design is similarly shifted toward the upper-left margin. The coin exhibits original red mint luster. It is housed in a cardboard 2x2 staple-type holder with handwritten notations. Uncirculated. The coin retains original red (RD) mint luster. Several small, dark carbon spots are visible on the reverse.
