US 1888-O Morgan Silver Dollar - This US 1888-O Morgan silver dollar was struck at the New Orleans Mint. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper. The obverse features the Liberty head design, and the reverse depicts a heraldic eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch within a laurel wreath. The O mint mark is located on the reverse above the letters DO in DOLLAR. The coin exhibits a dark gray and gunmetal-colored patina. Weight: 0.849 ozt. Heavily circulated condition with significant wear and smoothing on the high points of the hair and eagle's breast. Notable condition defects include a deep horizontal scratch in the right reverse field and a substantial rim bruise on the lower reverse edge.
