Lionel Postwar O-Gauge No. 6415 Sunoco Triple-Dome Tank Car with Original Box - This is a vintage Lionel O-gauge model train tank car, model number 6415, produced by the Lionel Corporation. The car features a silver-painted plastic triple-dome tank body mounted on a black chassis with die-cast metal bar-end trucks. One side of the tank is decorated with a yellow diamond Sunoco logo with red arrows and the text Capacity 6600 Gals. Additional markings include Built by Lionel with a circled L logo and technical specifications referencing U.S. Safety Appliance Standards and testing data from Sun Oil Co. at Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. The car is equipped with rolling wheels and functional bar-end style couplers. The item includes its original orange and blue cardboard box marked No. 6415 Tank Car and The Lionel Corporation, New York - Chicago. The tank car is in very good, complete condition with clear and legible graphics. The silver finish remains clean with minimal signs of handling. The trucks and underside show minor evidence of use and light oxidation on the metal axles. The original cardboard box is present and complete but exhibits shelf wear, moderate creasing, rubbing along the edges, and some structural softening typical of age.
