Lionel No. 6417 Pennsylvania N5c Porthole Caboose with Original Box - This Lionel Corporation O-gauge model train car is a No. 6417 Pennsylvania N5c porthole caboose produced circa 1953. The caboose features a molded tuscan red plastic body shell with white heat-stamped lettering. The sides are marked Pennsylvania 536417, New York Zone, and BLT 2 53 N5c, along with the Lionel circle-L logo. The car is designed with four circular porthole-style window inserts on each side and sits on a black metal frame. It is equipped with die-cast metal trucks, plastic wheels, and magnetic couplers. The underside features a metal track pickup indicating internal illumination. The original orange and blue Lionel Corporation cardboard box is included, featuring matching No. 6417 and Caboose markings on the end flaps. The caboose is in good vintage condition, showing light surface dust and minor play wear. The white heat-stamped lettering is crisp and legible. All eight porthole window inserts appear to be present and intact. The original box is in fair to poor condition, displaying heavy creasing, edge rubbing, and a partially detached and torn end flap. Several inner flaps are missing. The functionality of the internal illumination has not been tested.
