Lionel O-Gauge Chicago and Alton Dining Car 6-9599 Bloomington with Original Box - Lionel O-gauge model train passenger car, model number 6-9599, produced by Lionel Trains, Inc. This dining car is decorated in the Chicago and Alton (C&A) road name for The Alton Limited and carries the car name Bloomington. The car is constructed with a plastic body and a silver-painted roof. The exterior features a maroon and red livery with gold-tone pinstriping and lettering. It is equipped with white window inserts, black plastic trucks, and metal wheels and couplers. The original cardboard window box is included, bearing an orange end label printed with CHICAGO and ALTON / DINING CAR / 6-9599. The reverse side of the box includes manufacturing information from 1980 and the location of Mount Clemens, Michigan. The item appears to be in good, uncirculated condition, remaining in the original box. The window box shows shelf wear, including rubbing, creasing, and small tears at the corner flaps. The clear plastic display window has surface scuffing and a light film. The train car has not been removed for mechanical testing or internal inspection.
