M.T.H. Electric Trains O-Gauge Diesel Locomotive and Passenger Car Set - This O-gauge model train group is manufactured by M.T.H. Electric Trains, as evidenced by molded marks on the underside of each piece. The set consists of a modern diesel locomotive and a collection of passenger cars. The locomotive features the green and yellow livery of the Chicago and North Western Railway, marked with road number 8636 and the company's circular logo. The accompanying passenger cars are finished in the Delaware and Hudson railroad's blue, yellow, and silver color scheme. The car set includes a baggage/RPO car numbered 53, a coach numbered 23, a Vista Dome car numbered 42, and a rounded-end observation car numbered 39. Construction utilizes molded plastic for the bodies with die-cast metal components for the chassis, trucks, and wheels. The locomotive includes a speaker grill for an integrated sound system, and the cars feature interior seating details. The items appear to be in good, previously-owned condition. There is visible surface dust on all pieces. Most detail parts, including handrails, appear present and intact. Functional operation of the motor, sound system, and interior lighting has not been tested. No original boxes or documentation are present.
