Lionel Postwar No. 2350 New Haven EP-5 Electric Locomotive - A Lionel Postwar O-gauge model of a New Haven EP-5 Rectifier electric locomotive, manufactured by The Lionel Corporation. This model features a molded plastic body shell on a die-cast metal frame with three-axle die-cast trucks. The locomotive is finished in the New Haven Railroad McGinnis paint scheme consisting of horizontal bands of orange, black, and white. The sides bear the printed NH logo and NEW HAVEN lettering in white. The model number 2350 is printed in red at each end, and one side features the red printed text BUILT BY LIONEL. The roof is equipped with two functional, collapsible metal pantographs and a raised black plastic rectifier housing. The underside frame is embossed with THE LIONEL CORPORATION, NEW YORK, N.Y., and MADE IN U.S. OF AMERICA, along with patent numbers 2168953, 2648574, and 2678854. The unit includes dual operating couplers and directional headlights. The locomotive is in used condition with a significant accumulation of dust and surface grime across all surfaces. The paint exhibits play wear including scuffs, scratches, and small chips, notably along the pilots and bottom edges of the shell. Surface oxidation is present on the metal axles, wheels, and pickup rollers. One metal pantograph is slightly bent, though both are present and functional. The original box is not included. This item has not been tested for mechanical or electrical operation and is sold as-is.
