Soo Line SD40-2 Diesel Locomotive Road Number 758 O Gauge - This model diesel locomotive is a representation of an EMD SD40-2 engine in the Soo Line railroad livery, attributed to Lionel (specifically model 6-18231). The locomotive features the classic red and white color scheme with large black SOO lettering on the long hood and SOO LINE on the front nose. The road number 758 is printed on the cab sides as well as the front and rear number boards. The item is constructed with a molded plastic body shell, metal handrails, and a die-cast decorative air horn assembly on the roof. The motorized chassis is equipped with two three-axle trucks featuring metal wheels, axles, and under-mounted pickup rollers designed for three-rail operation. A circular speaker grill is integrated into the underside of the fuel tank, confirming the presence of an onboard electronic sound system.
