Lionel 675 O-Gauge Steam Locomotive and Lionel Lines Tender - A vintage O-gauge model steam locomotive and tender manufactured by The Lionel Corporation of New York. The locomotive is model 675, a post-war era piece produced between 1947 and 1952. The locomotive features die-cast metal construction and a 2-6-2 wheel arrangement. The cab is silver-stamped with the number 675. The boiler front displays a red and gold Pennsylvania Railroad keystone logo with the numbers 5690. An underside metal plate is affixed to the motor housing and is inscribed with the following: O GAUGE LOCOMOTIVE, LUBRICATE AS PER INSTRUCTIONS, THE LIONEL CORPORATION, N.Y., MADE IN U. S. OF AMERICA. The locomotive is equipped with an electric motor, a three-position reverse unit, and a smoke production mechanism. The accompanying tender is also constructed of die-cast metal with silver-stamped LIONEL LINES markings on the sides. The tender features a simulated coal load and two six-wheel trucks. The underside of the tender reveals internal wiring and a power pickup roller, indicating an internal whistle mechanism. The locomotive and tender are in used, played-with condition. There is significant dust accumulation across all surfaces. The black paint shows moderate wear, including chips and scratches primarily along the edges and raised rivet details. The locomotive appears to be mostly complete with its pilot truck, trailing truck, and full set of driving rods. The internal electrical components, motor, and whistle mechanism have not been verified for operation and are sold as untested. No original packaging or box is present.
