Large Scale 4-4-0 Steam Locomotive No. 8005 - This is a large-scale electric toy steam locomotive, attributed to Scientific Toys or Lionel based on the model number 8005. The locomotive features a 4-4-0 wheel configuration and is constructed from molded red plastic with gold-toned and silver-toned accents. The design includes a balloon-style smokestack with a grey fiberfill smoke effect, a red cowcatcher, and silver-toned front headlights. Simulated brass-colored domes and a bell are mounted along the top of the boiler. The drive wheels are fitted with metal rims, and the underside features metal pick-up strips for power collection. A hook-style coupler is located at the rear. The cab sides are marked with the number 8005 in gold within a rectangular border. Molded text on the rear of the cab is partially legible, with the bottom line clearly stating MADE IN CHINA. This locomotive is presented without a tender. The locomotive is in used condition, showing surface dust and light wear consistent with play. The plastic body and metallic finishes appear largely intact with no significant cracks or breaks visible. The locomotive is missing its original tender and box. The functionality of the electric motor has not been tested.
