Lionel 1224 O-Gauge 2-4-2 Christmas Steam Locomotive - This is a Lionel O-gauge 2-4-2 Columbia-type steam-style electric locomotive, model number 1224. The item features a holiday-themed design with a green molded plastic boiler shell, a silver-toned cab roof, and a miniature Santa Claus figure positioned within the cab. The side of the cab displays the road number 1224 accompanied by green holly and red berry graphics. A raised rectangular nameplate on the boiler identifies the manufacturer as Lionel. The chassis is constructed from a combination of die-cast metal and plastic components. The underside is equipped with a central copper pickup roller and a contact strip for operation on powered track. The locomotive is in used condition with visible surface dust throughout. The rear trailing truck is currently detached from the chassis but is included with the item. The internal motor and electrical components are untested. The original packaging is not present.
