Lionel O/O27 Gauge Three Intermodal Container Set, No. 6-12855 - Produced by Lionel Trains, Inc. in 1994, this accessory set consists of three intermodal containers constructed of molded plastic. Designed for O and O27 gauge layouts, the containers are finished in silver and decorated with specific railroad liveries. One container features the CP Rail (Canadian Pacific) Multi-Mark logo in white and orange on a black panel. The second unit represents the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway with red script reading Ship it on the Frisco! and a red Piggyback bar. The third container bears the Vermont Railway green logo and the number 12858. These items are designed for use as freight loads on Lionel flatcars or as accessories for intermodal yard scenes. The set includes its original retail window box. Visible markings include: Box Header: LIONEL BIG, RUGGED TRAINS. A TRADITION SINCE 1900. The intermodal containers are in excellent, apparently unused condition with no visible chips, cracks, or paint loss. The original cardboard window box shows moderate shelf wear, including rubbing at the corners, edge creasing, and localized surface tearing from the removal of old adhesive tape and price labels. The clear plastic display window is intact and remains attached to the cardboard frame.
