ART NOUVEAU PAINTED CABINET - Bohemia 1908 Small hanging cabinet made of dark-stained wood with decorative pierced elements in an Art Nouveau style. The door panel features a stylized female figure inspired by Alfons Mucha`s design for ”Autumn” (AUTOMNE) from the Four Seasons series, a motif used for example in 1901 calendar. Painted with tempera and ink on linden wood panel, signed lower right ”Rud. Váca 1908” (likely Rudolf Váca from Olomouc, born March 9, 1879 in Těšetice near Olomouc, a teacher known for his work in natural sciences and conservation, who also published works with his own illustrations). 67 x 55 x 10 cm.
