Minor damage to the varnish layer (scratch) in the centre. Unsigned on the front; on the reverse, an estate seal of Václav Brožík. The presented work is an authentic and painterly assured study by Václav Brožík, one of the most important representatives of the National Theatre generation. The work captures an empty beach with dunes at dusk, when the sky is coloured in subtle pink and violet tones. Condition B. Accompanied by an expert report by PhDr. Šárka Leubnerová, from which we briefly quote: ”The inner balance of the composition is offset by the gradual transformation of colour areas, passing from dark green tones of earth to the light colours of the sea, in which clouds coloured by the sunset are reflected. The concentration on the emotional aspect of the landscape is rendered with maximum truthfulness and brings a calm monumentality to the painting.”
