TIN SHIELD TABLE CLOCK ”CAPLOVKY” - Central Europe, Austria, Germany 1850–1880 A table clock with a shield of pressed and embossed sheet metal (repoussé) with Rococo-inspired ornament. A round metal dial with Roman numerals, minute track, and pierced steel hands. Movement regulation via a front-mounted adjustment disc above the dial. Spring-driven movement housed in a closed tin case accessible from the rear. Construction derived from traditional Black Forest shield clocks. Material: pressed sheet metal, steel, brass. Height: approx. 30 cm.
