ZAPPLER CLOCK UNDER A GLASS DOME - Austrian Empire, probably Vienna 1840s A miniature architecture in the Neo-Gothic style with pilasters, topped with decorative turrets and a central cartouche with vegetal décor. Dial: white enamel with red Roman numerals, gilded dots, and delicate steel hands. One-day mechanical movement with spring drive and anchor escapement. A distinctive feature is the front pendulum (so-called Vorderzappler), suspended directly in front of the dial. Overall height 19.5 cm, clock height 11 cm. Running not verified, key missing.
