PILGRIMAGE BOWL WITH THE MARIAZELL MADONNA - Moravia, Bučovice or Vyškov, 1st half of the 19th century A faience bowl with a flat base and a raised rim, white-glazed, painted in muffle colours with a motif of the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus from the pilgrimage site of Mariazell in a floral semi-wreath (in the well), along the rim an ornamental border. Diameter 21,5 cm Unmarked. Condition B. Minor abrasions, craquelured glaze. Provenance: from the collection of PhDr. Miroslav Boček (1915–2005).
