HANGING PLATE WITH A PLOUGHMAN - Slovakia, Stupava, ca 1900 A flat faience plate with a wavy rim, white-glazed, painted in high-fire colours with a scene of a ploughman with an ox team in a floral frame and with wide ornamental borders along the rim. Diameter 33 cm Overglaze black brush mark ”ST.” in ligature. Condition restored. Glued chip on the rim and abrasion in the glaze in the same area.
