Poppies - Melisa Ben-Horin. - Poppies - Melisa Ben-Horin. This helmet inspired by the carpets of beautiful red poppies that we used to drive   down to admire every spring in the south. The contrast of the hard, cold, green metal painted with these fragile poppies felt poignant and symbolic representing so many who were murdered there that day while our brave soldiers  are protecting us every moment. As I wrote, Am Israel is resilient and “we will dance  again!” B’ezrat Hashem. All proceeds will be donated to the purchase of protective equipment for the IDF reserve soldiers.
