Double-edged blade with a central ridge, bearing on the forte, on one side, traces of the inscription ”Talabot Freres / à Paris”. Black leather scabbard with brass throat and chape, the former fitted with a loop for fastening to the baldric. Slight oxidation. Signs of use. Approx. blade length: 48.5 cm; approx. overall length: 85.5 cm. FR Glaive français, pour troupes d’Infanterie, modèle réglementaire de 1831. Garde cruciforme en laiton, poignée à cannelures horizontales en relief. Lame à deux tranchants, avec arête centrale, portant sur le talon, d’un côté, des traces de l’inscription « Talabot Freres / à Paris ». Fourreau en cuir noir avec bouterolle et bocal en laiton, ce dernier comportant un passant pour l’attache au ceinturon-baudrier. Légère oxydation. Traces d’usage. Longueur approximative de la lame : 48,5 cm ; longueur totale approximative : 85,5 cm.
