Full blue morocco binding, with the super ex-libris of Queen Margherita of Italy (1851-1926) on the upper cover, painted in colours in the upper left corner. Although the binding is unsigned, we believe it to be the work of G. Tarditi, one of the greatest Italian binders of all time. Endpapers in white moiré silk. Edges carmined, with a good aesthetic effect. Corners and titles on the spine in red. It bears a large bookplate of Queen Jelena Petrović-Njegoš di Savoia, Queen Consort of Italy from 1900 to 1946. In addition, she was Empress Consort of Ethiopia from 1936 to 1941, and also Queen Consort of Albania from 1939 to 1943. After her husband's abdication, she assumed the title of Countess of Pollenzo. With the opening of her beatification process in 2001, she received the title of Servant of God. A copy that belonged to two queens of Italy, from a special and very rare print run of 50 copies, this is number 6, on Holland paper. Spine worn but good copies. Interior as new. Reliure plein maroquin bleu, avec le super-libris de la reine Marguerite d’Italie (1851-1926) au plat supérieur, peint en couleurs, dans l’angle supérieur gauche. Bien que la reliure ne soit pas signée, nous pensons qu’il s’agit d’une œuvre de G. Tarditi, l’un des plus grands relieurs italiens de tous les temps. Gardes en soie moirée blanche. Tranches carminées avec un bel effet esthétique. Coins et titres au dos en rouge. Porte un grand ex-libris de la reine Jelena Petrović-Njegoš di Savoia, reine consort d’Italie de 1900 à 1946. De plus, elle fut impératrice consort d’Éthiopie de 1936 à 1941, et également reine consort d’Albanie de 1939 à 1943. Après l’abdication de son mari, elle prit le titre de comtesse de Pollenzo. Avec l’ouverture de son procès de béatification en 2001, elle reçut le titre de Servante de Dieu. Exemplaire ayant appartenu à deux reines d’Italie, provenant d’un tirage spécial et très rare de 50 exemplaires ; c’est le numéro 6, sur papier Hollande. Dos fatigué mais beaux exemplaires.
